The entire Snowy Range area has over 160 miles of groomed trails and seemingly limitless amount of land is available for snowmobiling throughout Medicine Bow National Forest. (Media-Newswire.com) – Flathead Valley Community College will introduce a new cultural immersion program next year—a spring break tour in London, England, March 24-31, 2011. Students can earn up to six college credits while touring the city’s landmarks and historic sites.
Participants are required to enroll in one of two three-credit courses—British Literature I or Shakespeare’s Plays and Poems—and are given the option to enroll in both courses. Participants will visit various London landmarks including Westminster Abbey, Tower of London, Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus, Covent Garden, St. Paul’s Cathedral, the British Museum and the Globe Theatre. Students also will experience two West End theatre productions.
Participating students will meet for discussions and readings during the spring semester prior to trip departure.
Two informational meetings will take place November 22 and 29 at 3 p.m. in room 205 of the college’s Arts and Technology Building for persons interested in obtaining more information.
